Recapping back to 2nd March we celebrated World Book Day in house here at Preschool with the children, celebrating all things Literacy... and who doesnt love stories!
On Thursday 2nd March 2023 our children (and staff!) were invited to come along to preschool dressed as their favourite book character, in their favourite costume or to simply bring a book to preschool to share with their friends.
We had a wonderful day sharing stories and rhymes, looking at each others costumes and books and talking about our favourite stories and characters.
We even had some super special treats;
-A visit from a Tamworth Librarian who shared stories and rhymes with the children age and stage appropriate
-We invited in our parents/carers as readers and were lucky enough to have 3 parents come into preschool to share their chosen book with the children
How exciting!
Thank you to all those who took part or came in to read, it is really appreciated and great partnership building with our parents.
Next year will be very similar plans - what will you be?
